How must data be provided?

aiXbrain Dataray processes time-series data. Once you have prepared your data accordingly, you can import it into aiXbrain Dataray with just a few clicks.

If you want to import a specific data signal, you will need the connection string of the database in which the associated values are stored, as well as the names of the database table, the data column, and the column that stores the timestamp of the data series.

How large are the required data volume and data quality?

With aiXbrain Dataray, you can already generate added value for your daily business operations with small datasets through data visualizations and the analytics modules. For productive use of the AI modules, we recommend that you work with a dataset of at least 3 months.

We assess the quality of your data during the project phase. During this time, we provide you with concrete recommendations for improving your data foundation while taking your business objectives into account. How long does implementation take?

The implementation duration is 4 weeks. During this project phase, we configure the solution modules selected during the workshop. Afterwards, you can use aiXbrain Dataray productively in your daily business operations.

The project phase may extend if the development of new solution modules becomes necessary. In general, however, we try to keep the project phase short in order to quickly produce reliable initial analysis results ("Quick Wins") and create confidence for further investment decisions.

Is the software easy to use independently?

Yes. aiXbrain Dataray can be used independently by engineers. Programming knowledge is not required. The engineer can implement all data evaluations with the help of predefined modules by defining the parameters of the respective module.

An example: aiXbrain Dataray includes a module for monitoring signals with a tolerance range. The engineer can select this module in the user interface and then define the upper and lower limits of the tolerance range. The AI modules can be configured in a similarly straightforward manner.

Is Dataray a competing product to my own software solutions?

Before you acquire aiXbrain Dataray, we gather your requirements and expectations as part of a comprehensive workshop. Afterwards, we select suitable solution modules and discuss possible implementation workflows with you.

One result of such a requirements analysis can be that you do not need new software, but merely want to extend your existing solution with aiXbrain. This case often occurs, for example, when companies deliver their own hardware with an associated software solution, and now want to equip the software with intelligent analytics and AI functions.

Because these companies' expertise lies primarily in hardware, they often lack the internal know-how to lead the AI project to success without external support. If you are in this situation, you naturally do not need to acquire the entire aiXbrain Dataray software; instead, we provide you with only the required AI module. Thus, a competitive situation is excluded.

Who owns the AI models?

The trained AI models belong to you. You can use the AI models both as a module in aiXbrain Dataray and also export them and use them independently of aiXbrain Dataray.

Can developed AI models also be used with other software?

You can use trained AI models with other software as well. For this purpose, you have the option to export your AI model as a Docker container from aiXbrain Dataray and integrate it into your other software tools.

Can you build AI models yourself in Dataray?

aiXbrain Dataray contains templates for AI models that we configure for you during onboarding. After configuration is complete, the AI model is trained in the background by aiXbrain Dataray and is thus production-ready. Should a template not yet exist for a desired AI model, the customer can commission aiXbrain to perform custom development.

What does Dataray cost during implementation and at runtime?

We implement aiXbrain Dataray through an onboarding project with a duration of 4-6 weeks, which we bill according to the person-days spent. We set a baseline of 15 person-days for the joint setup and initial configuration. The first 6 months of runtime are included.

After that, a monthly usage fee applies, which is based on a scalable cost model depending on the number of data signals evaluated. Additionally, there is the possibility for custom extensions, for example the development of new AI models and scanner functions as well as new views for additional user groups. We also bill these projects based on person-days.
